About Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu is in Montérégie, on the Richelieu River southeast of Montréal. It grew as a military and canal town at Fort Saint-Jean and remains a bilingual South Shore city with a large industrial and commuting role. The International Balloon Festival fills the late-summer sky. About 98,000 people live in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu.
